More than twenty years ago, Jean Moss began Olde Ipswich Tours, which occupies a unique niche among European tour companies, motivated by her love of travel, history and fine culinary experiences. She is proud of the detailed, and carefully planned itineraries that have offered so many clients unique travel experiences over the years.
These escorted, small tours (groups of 6 to 16) are designed to offer an intimate, quality experience of our favorite regions of Central Europe, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, England, Ireland and our own New England. We are always looking to add to our offerings of skillfully created tours for our loyal friends and customers.
Jean began began carving out her niche among European tour companies 21 years ago. She is proud of the detailed and carefully planned itineraries that have offered so many clients unique travel experiences over the years. She has an undergraduate degree in French from Colby College and a Masters degree in French from Middlebury College earned at the University of Paris. She has lived in Paris, Normandy and Cuernavaca, Mexico. She used to teach French, and likes to pretend that she still does! She is fluent in French and Spanish. She earned her certificate from the International Tour Management Institute in San Francisco and began leading tours in 1995. Robin got her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology from Harvard University. She went on to study biogeography at The George Washington University in DC, and traveled to places such as China and Kenya while doing research. Robin is a native of Ipswich. Her hobbies include reading and creative writing. At Olde Ipswich Tours, Robin does a bit of everything, but focuses on administration. Her favorite task is preparing information to get new potential guests interested in our tours.
Katey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Smith College, and a Master of Science in Human Rights & International Politics from University of Glasgow in Scotland, where she enjoyed working in a local pub. After almost four years working in the nonprofit field in Austin, Texas, she is happy to be back home in New England. Her travels abroad have so far taken her to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Colombia, Iceland, Portugal, Canada, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands.
Amanda is currently a senior at Lesley University in Cambridge where she is majoring in Global Studies with a minor in Spanish. At college, she spent a semester abroad in Tanzania and Kenya, where she volunteered at a local orphanage and took classes at a Tanzanian university. She is currently preparing for a semester abroad in Spain, where still will be taking classes entirely in Spanish, so she is especially excited about helping to plan our Spain tour. She has also been to England and Italy, and is excited about travelling in Europe more while she is in Spain.
